Goddess Retreats in Bali was named Hotel of the Year at the LUXE Global Awards 2026, and has been a Global Winner at the World Luxury Hotel Awards every year since 2024. Since 2024 we have received 14 international award titles, including 11 Global Winner titles, across our unlimited spa, healing and wellness experiences and our connection to Balinese culture.
When Chelsea Ross welcomed our first guest in 2003, there was no category for a women-only retreat. As a result, no one was handing out awards for one. Today, more than two decades and nearly 19,000 women later, it is lovely to see the world catch up. Of course, we share every one of these titles with our team, many of whom have been with us for over ten years. We also share them with the 18 traditional healers who work alongside us.

We received this title at the 19th World Luxury Hotel Awards in Singapore. We designed our Ubud sanctuary like a traditional Balinese village. Our guests join ceremonies such as Melukat water purification with the priestesses and healers we have known for years.

Yes. Chelsea Ross founded Goddess Retreats in Bali in 2003 as a women-only retreat. Today it has sanctuaries in both Ubud and Seminyak. In addition, Goddess Retreats has been a Global Winner at the World Luxury Hotel Awards every year since 2024. Most recently, the LUXE Global Awards named it Hotel of the Year 2026.
Both awards are decided by public vote. At the World Luxury Hotel Awards, more than 300,000 guests and travelers vote for the winners. At the LUXE Global Awards, each property enters four categories. It then competes at national, regional, continental and global level in an online vote held over three weeks. We are grateful to every guest and friend who voted for us.
In 2026 our spa was recognized with five Global Winner titles. Four came from the LUXE Global Awards, including Best Women-Only Relaxation & Spa Retreat. The fifth was Best Luxury Unlimited Spa & Healing Retreat at the World Luxury Hotel Awards. Our spa is unlimited from arrival to departure, with no caps, tokens or vouchers.
Yes. Goddess Retreats has welcomed only women since Chelsea Ross founded it in 2003. In fact, most of our guests travel solo. Our women-only retreats also won Global Winner, Best Luxury Women Only All-Inclusive Wellness Retreat at the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2026.
